8.22.05 - My sale went really well. I coordinated the sale for our community which is 580+ homes. We had about 40 homes that ended up participating. It was my first garage sale. I made a little over $900 which I thought was great. We had tons of traffic.

We also advertised in "The Columbus Dispatch" and "This Week". I just happened to see one of your signs in the area and thought I would add our listing.

I have had two e-mails asking about specific items.

8.12.04 - We had 2 households of stuff (junk) to get rid of. David and I got married in June. He had a 3 bedroom home in Gahanna. So, we had a lot of stuff. Anyway, we made about $600! Our goal was $500.

6.24.04 - My mom and I stumbled on a find at a yardsale a couple of years ago - a beautiful punch bowl with an underplate and 32 cups. It looked old, was still in its box and we knew we would find a use for it. We later found out we paid $15 for an antique Imperial Glass Candlewick punchset valued between $250 and $400 on the collectors market. We use it regularly, enjoy and tell the story often. -- Cheryl R.

6.22.04 - I was garage-sailing in the Washington DC area, and found a Longaberger bread basket in excellent condition for $2! It seems that not everyone in DC is terribly intelligent... :) -- Ann S.

4.26.04 - Let me be the first to start. This isn't a big one, but it proves the point. A couple of years ago I was remodeling my kitchen. Because money was very tight for this project, I decided to keep the existing sink in the kitchen even though it was only a single bowl. On a nice summer morning I was walking through the University area and stumbled accross a yard sale. What did I see? A nice two bowl kitchen sink in good condition for five bucks. Five bucks. New, it would cost $65 - $100. Not a bad bargain. -- Joel
