How to Setup an Auto Notify Agent

The Auto Notify Agent will email you any time an ad is placed with an item you have on your list.

  1. From the Home page or the Navigation Menu, enter the garage sale database by clicking the "Search Ads" or "GO!" link.
  2. Click the "Auto Notify" link.
  3. Select "Create Agent."
  4. Login or create an account.
  5. Select "Advanced Search Form."
  6. Add items to your list and submit.

Step-by-step details on how to setup an Auto Notify Agent:

How to setup an auto notify agent: step one, enter database.
1) Enter the database. From the Home page click "GO!" or click on the "Search Ads" link in the navigation menu on the left side.

Click on the Auto Notify link in the blue bar.

2) Click the Auto Notify link found in the blue bar, to the far right.

Select the Create Agent button.

3) If you are setting up your Auto Notify Agent for the first time, click on the "Create Agent" button. Once you have setup your agent, you can navigate to this screen to modify or delete the agent.

Login to create your agent.

4) You need to login to create your Auto Notify Agent. If you do not have an account, click the "Register For An Account" link to create your free account.

Select "Advanced Search Form."

5) For the Auto Notify Agent we do not recomment using Keyword Search. Instead, click on the "Advanced Search Form" link as seen above.

6A) To locate specific item(s) to add to your search agent, scroll down the page until you see the Sale Item Categories. Click on the “+” symbol next to a category you want to view . Doing so allows you to see any subcategories or items that are within the master category (Clicking a "-" symbol will close that category). Continue searching through the categories and subcategories until you locate the item you want to find. Click the box next to that item to add it to your Auto Notify Agent. You can add additional items to your search or if you are done, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Enter your email address and submit request.

6B) At the bottom of the page is a field to enter the email address you want all matching ads sent to. Any ad that has an item on your list will be emailed to this address. You can also select the duration of the Auto Notify Agent. It will automatically expire after 60 or 120 days. If you want to continue using the agent after it expires, simply re-setup your agent.
